Integral Powertrain meet the engineers of tomorrow at The University of Birmingham

Senior members of the Integral Powertrain Ltd team were delighted to have the opportunity to meet with budding engineers at an under graduate project open day organised by the School of Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering at the University of Birmingham recently.

The young engineers were keen to impress with a range of student projects on display.

“It’s fascinating to see how students take a common in-take of information and apply learned principles to challenge and overcome issues in projects,” commented Dan Meegahawatte – Principal Engineer. “This is a trait we look for in our software, electronics and analysis graduate in-take” added Dan.

Integral Powertrain Ltd employ the latest technology developments in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and work processes to maintain their success and dominance in high performance electric motors. Management and the re-application of Intellectual Property underwrites its Automated Intelligent Design (AID) and frees critical time to focus on improvement strategies highlighting rules that cost performance or money.

This proves to be an exciting environment for new engineers who can call on, and add to, a growing knowledge base created by some of the most influential engineers in their field, thereby providing a rapid development environment and opportunities that they would not necessarily receive in larger organisations.

Part of series of activities involving key UK universities planned for this year, the University of Birmingham visit is one of several that will connect key Integral Powertrain engineers directly with the potential team members of tomorrow and the academics and industrial liaison individuals that support them.
